We have the opportunity to comfort God and praise His name by being with Him throughout all eternity. He shares in our experiences now. He has personally felt the realm of death and it's un-natural hold on His creation due to sin. He has provided a way out - we just need to accept His gift to us all...
Every person saved can bring Him comfort and joy.
Then disasters and tragedy will be a temporary blip in the eternal relationship that may be ours , with our Maker.

Browsing with FF 3. Still some problems on the home page. Canvas is crossing the page body under your header. Something is up with either the side margins or padding.

Hang in there...

Oh wait, I take that back. I wasn't in the home page when I commented. Yes, the home page looks messed up. The white background to the text area isn't there and the works run all across the page.

Great post, Mireya. There is so much depth and richness for those who want to really engage with their faith at a "street level." I particularly appreciate your comment in paragraph 2 that the "why?" is almost always unclear. I think a key part of growing in our relationship with God and each other is stepping into the things God may be leading us into without absolutely clarity about all the whys and wherefores. That's faith, right? Certainty is the opposite of faith.

And about the "keep us posted" part, I think that's a huge part of the purpose of this blog. It is truly a "community blog" for the participants in the Hollywood Adventist Church. So come on people, get writing!

Valerie; I read your excellent article and "felt your pain" and my own as I read on.
Sometimes I feel we/I get numb to such evil as we go about each day filled with more than we can sometimes encompass and are bombarded with violence in the media both real and played as entertainment.
This is no excuse for us as Christians who take Jesus as our example and it does demand a vigilance of purpose and clarity of daily vision to cope. I pray for this in my life.
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings to you and us!
